Auntie Bonnie is here

Riding the Swan boats at The Public Garden, Boston

Harrison and Josh at the Soldiers and Sailors Monument, Boston Common

We are all alive for those who might be wondering. Sorry for the blog diet...

Josh's sister, Bonnie, flew in 1.5 weeks ago and she is well, a saint. Auntie Bonnie is great with the kids and they adore her. We have been trying to show her a little of Boston before I have surgery in a week. So here's a quick recap of what we have been up to...

Yesterday we did some grocery shopping and finally got around to organizing our food storage. Our good deal of the day was buying 43 boxes of General Mills cereal, granola bars, and fruit snacks for $31 (hence the pressure to organize the food storage). For the record, I love coupons. We also broke down and bought Harrison a big boy bike and helmet (that kid has a huge head! We had to get one for ages 5+). Josh put it together last night and both kids couldn't wait to get on it this morning. Harrison still doesn't understand how to peddle but we're working on it. Ellie is just thrilled to sit on the bike and be pushed around.

On Friday we went to the Boston LDS temple for a walk around the grounds. This week has been overcast and chilly so we didn't stay long. The weather didn't stop Harrison and Ellie from running around and collecting "tree worms" (parts of the tree that fall off in Spring that look like worms).

On Thursday we visited The Children's Museum of Boston. This is the first time we've gone since Ellie started walking and she had a blast! We just have to stay away from the bubble room; Ellie thought it was a great place to splash and jump in the bubbles. Harrison liked shopping in the Hispanic market, playing in Arthur's house, and most of all, playing in the water in the boat room.

Last Friday we went to the The Public Garden in Boston and Boston Common. We rode the Swan boats and walked around. Our time was cut short due to the temperature dropping 20 degrees while out and we were all freezing. Unfortunately we don't have better pictures on the boats mostly because the kids spent the entire time cramming their faces with goldfish crackers.

Last Saturday Josh had to feed the fish at work. Bonnie had the pleasure of accompanying and assisting him in the morning. In the afternoon, we walked around Harvard and I relayed all my useless Harvard tour trivia to Bonnie.

That's the travel log version of our life. More later.
