So Harrison has been saying he is scared when we try to put him to bed at night. Apparently, he is afraid of lions and says they are "under there" while pointing under his bed. I am surprised he is afraid of lions since he has always liked animals, particularly lions. Anyways, I have to explain to him that all the lions in Boston are in the zoo behind fences and they can't get out. I then say his preying mantis puppet he recently received from Grandma Lue will protect him. THEN I say Heavenly Father is watching over him like we talked about in the prayer. THEN I say daddy won't let the lions get him even if they do break out of the zoo. And THEN he gives up and goes to bed (sometimes).
I am also trying to break Harrison of calling Ellie "baby" or sometimes "sister". So I ask him what the baby's name is and he says "Ellie Bells". It's pretty darn cute. If only I could get him to call her that without prompting.
Ellie has completely given up baby food but I am holding on to the 20 jars in the cupboard in hope that she might change her mind (like who wouldn't want pureed green beans or chicken noodle dinner?) . I am still trying to figure out what to feed her but it's getting better. I finally broke down and bought some soy mozzarella flavored cheese (their words, not mine). You know, it isn't half bad (granted I haven't had really cheese in 5 months but I think I remember enough what it should taste like). I also think the world might be coming to an end because for the first time today while eating "Smart Balance" (a low cholesterol butter substitute with no milk ingredients) on my waffle I actually thought it tasted like butter and pretty good. Me! The self-professed butter purist! I thought some "spread" from a tub actually tasted like butter! What will come next.

It sounds like Harrison is ready for the Wizard of Oz--the cowardly lion routine should cure him. Of course, the wicked witch might pose a new problem ;>)
Ellie Bells is growing up far too quickly! Tell her Grandma said she has to get back in her baby swing where all little babies belong.
Love ya,
Grandma Lue
