our Wednesday

Yesterday we went to Robbins Farm Park in Arlington for playgroup. The weather is a little warmer this week and it turned out to be a pleasant play day. Harrison loves the roller bar slide and the tire swing. Ellie is still my swing-loving baby. Harrison ran up the hill and in an effort to get him to return to the playground, I tried to teach him how to roll down a hill. He didn't get it but it was fun to watch him try. He kept scooting himself down the hill and in the end he was just covered in dirt and dry grass.

In the afternoon we went to the farmers' market in Davis Square in Somerville. I quickly learned I was in way over my head when I saw 20+ types of apples I had never even heard of. We got one of each (well, not quite each) and now I have no idea which one I like because there are too many to keep track of. On the plus side, I did get some of the best corn on the cob I have had in the long time. Harrison tried to talk me into buying every pumpkin he saw and even tried to steal a miniature pumpkin from one of the stands but I an ever the mean mommy and didn't give in. I am still hoping to hit a pumpkin patch before Halloween so buying one at the farmers' market seemed unnecessary.

Harrison cracks me up sometimes. He woke up from his nap yesterday and I asked him, "how was your nap?" His response, "poor". I have no idea where he even learned that word but the way he said it just made me laugh.

Ellie is learning to mimic everything we do. She likes to "talk" on the phone, brush her hair with her hairbrush, and push buttons on the remote.

This was not a boring week in the life of the Boston Camerons! Kristen: Didn't I ever tell you the story of when I took you and your brothers to the doctor for the first time in Cambridge (circa 1982)? I only had a quarter in my wallet--I never had cash on me and debit cards hadn't been invented yet. It was an equally painful experience, but it never happended again after that.

Harrison: You are looking more and more like your daddy--and that's a very nice thing (he, too, is all boy!)

Love ya,
Grandma Lue
