Halloween

Harrison was so excited for Halloween. Excitement apparently turns him into a royal terror :) He was awful all afternoon and less than cooperative when it was time to take pictures. He was a monkey this year (Curious George to be more specific). He loved his costume and was absolutely adorable in it. We went trick or treating to a few houses on our street and after the first one he finally caught on. He would say "trick or treat" without prompting and was anxious to go to the next house.

I finally decided to have Ellie wear Harrison's old bear costume. I never found a costume for her that I liked so she got stuck with a hand-me-down (I put a bow on it, I should get some points for that). The costume was just as big on her as it was on Harrison. We taught her how to growl and she was a very cute little bear. We had to keep her from eating the gravel while taking pictures (good thing the costume has mittens).

At our ward trunk or treat, Harrison loved going around to all the cars to collect treats. Ellie held on to her pumpkin the entire time despite being half asleep.

And lastly, this is the only picture I managed to get of both kids in an upright position in their Halloween shirts from Grandma Liz. After this picture, Harrison kept hugging (aka body slamming) Ellie and picture time was over. Harrison loves this shirt because the skeleton parts glow in the dark. The first day he wore it, he asked to go in the bathroom and our closet about 15 times to watch it glow.

I'm glad I found your blog from Tara's page. That family dejone website wasn't quite working, it just seemed like a good way to post pictures of the kids. This is way better, and we've got a blog too! Not that our lives are exciting enough to qualify for real blogging, but it's the best way to have grandparents watch the kids grow up =) Your kids are growing so fast and I think I laughed right out loud at every story you told about Harrison...he seems to be a funny character and much like his 2nd cousin Dawson. Well I'm glad to see things are going well for you.

Hey Kristen!! I found your blog again! :) Harrison and Ellie are so, so cute! It's so fun to read about them because I'm going through the exact same things with Bryleigh and Jeremy!! :) Fun stuff!

What cute trick or treaters. You are a good picture taker. How do you get them both to look at the camera at the same time?
So, Jesse blogger tagged me. Tag you're it. Rules are on my page.

Love the halloween costumes! I am also tardy on my thank you notes, but gabby LOVES her art supplies. The glitter glue is especially fun--we'll have to send you some original gabby artwork.
