We made cookies the other day and Ellie definitely takes after me when it comes to her love of sweets. She can hear the cookie container being opened from the other side of the house and immediately finds herself within close range.
Harrison was jealous of Ellie getting her picture taken so here he is too :)
This week we are working on the letter "P" and Harrison wrote a near perfect "P" right off the bat. He doesn't often have patience to learn new letters but when he gets it, he gets it. It's amazing how many words you can spell with H, A, O, T, I, C, and now P (think about it, I just dare you).
Ellie has learned how to "steal" noses. You know, that thing grandpas do where they pretend to take you nose off and then stick their thumb between their middle and index finger to show you that they did indeed remove it ("look! you're nose!"). The only difference is she sometimes tries a little too hard and nearly rips your nose off.
Last night I told Ellie to have daddy get her a tissue (she has the cold that just won't die). Well, I guess she missed the "ti-" part and just heard shoe. Next thing I knew she was carrying her tennis shoes to Josh and say, "shoe! shoe!". Never mind she already had some soft-soled shoes on. She wouldn't rest until Josh changed her footwear (I'm not sure how that helped her runny nose; maybe she wiped it on her old shoes).

Go Harrison!! That's great he can write some letters already. And thanks...now I want to go make cookies =)
White shoes are okay after Labor Day. Yes, I read that in the fashion newspaper, the Wall Street Journal. Wearing white shoes in the winter shows strength of character (it also can denote a bit of stubborness that moms can't crack :>) You wore whatever you dang well wanted to wear inspite of anything I said or tried to bribe you with---so suffer, daughter of mine. Love ya!
Your kids are beautiful!! I guess i haven't ever seen them well until now. They are so big!
