the children's museum

Well, I have learned to never complain about being too cold in the Summer. Today it's like 150 degrees or something (Okay, that might be a slight exaggeration but it might as well be).

Today we went to the Children's Museum of Boston. Harrison had a blast and the only way were able to get him out of there was to promise to come back in the future (and drag him...). He had the most fun in the ball room, boat room, and construction room. He climbed on EVERYTHING, even the areas that were intended for 5+ year olds. Even though we were there for two hours, we just didn't have time to see and do it all. Next time I am putting Harrison in a bright shirt so that I can keep better track of him; he was so visually stimulated that he wouldn't stand still. He loves to pretend to drive and always gravitates toward the large steering wheel-type toys (good thing the children's museum has one or more of these in each display). His favorite was a motor home with buttons that controlled the windshield wipers and lights.
Harrison fell on the sidewalk on our way to the museum and his head looks awful. He fell so fast that his hand just slipped out of mine and he didn't have time to brace himself. I will have to take a picture of the huge bruise on his forehead.

Ellie is starting to refuse baby food more frequently and I am being forced to be a little more creative with her food choices. She loves blueberries and peas and ate a lot of pasta tonight as well. She would eat Kix all day long if we let her. Anyone have any good finger food ideas for a kid with no teeth who is allergic to milk protein (and potentially peanuts and who knows what else)? I think I might buy some sunbutter (made from sunflower seeds) to get some fat in her. I might have to break down and buy avocado too but the smell and color of those just...blech.

Oh, and I didn't take any pictures today because our camera is having serious problems. It seems that you have to actually charge the batteries for it to work??? What is that all about??? :) I am as good about charging the camera batteries as I am with my cell phone. Maybe tonight I will do that (but no promises, it's really haaaarrrrd).
