trip to the beach

Today we went to Revere Beach for a ward beach day (Revere beach is about 25 minutes due East of our home). The weather was perfect, sunny and not too hot. Harrison was so excited and couldn't wait to build sandcastles. Josh, Harrison, and some "big" boys from the ward built a sand castle with Harrison's new beach toys. Harrison probably ran from the sandcastle to the ocean about 100 times during the day.

Ellie loved getting her toes dipped in the water (check out those chubby legs!). She also loved playing with the sand but kept trying to put it in her mouth. She also hung out in a little play tent to keep in the shade part of the time.

Harrison really enjoyed playing in the water but didn't last too long in his boat. He fell over once in the ocean and I was sure that would be the end of the water for him but he surprised me when he stood up, spit the water out of his mouth, and continued to play.

Everyone had a fun day and Harrison was sad to leave (he made sure to voice his complaints :) ). Hopefully I will figure out how to add some video. Oh, and if the pictures are too small, just click on them (be warned, in that past picture of Josh holding Ellie, there is a man in a speedo...yep, that's our new bishop and no, he's not European or a professional swimmer).
