Our day on Cape Cod

Yesterday we went to Cape Cod with Josh's coworkers. We met at his new boss's house in Woods Hole (see star on map). It took about 1.5 hours to get down there but it was worth the drive. Dr. Dowling's Summer house is right on the water and not baby proof :) (but it was lovely). After lunch, we went sailing on the Liberte (yes, that's a real picture
of the boat). The wind was wild yesterday and technically the captain said he was supposed to stop sailing when the winds reached 18 miles an hour and the wind was easily 25 miles/hr. We were flying the entire time minus when we left and returned to the Harbor. We had fun while yachting on the Cape (insert snooty accent here).

Harrison and Ellie did great. Ellie wasn't real fond
of the position the life jacket put her body in, but once we started moving, she feel asleep and stayed that way until the water splashed in her face (and then she feel back asleep after crying for a minute). Harrison was a little unsure about the experience only because of the strong winds and angle of the boat. If there had been less wind, I thing he would have enjoyed the experience a little more.

After sailing, we went to the beach for a short while. Josh and Harrison flew a kite, Ellie played in the sand, and Josh's coworkers swam. I am still getting used to the idea of private beaches; I think every beach we passed on the Cape had signs designating the owners and large "Private Property, Keep Off" signs. Thankfully, Josh's boss is a partial owner of one of those beaches (with private bath house too) so we had a place to play. After our short stint at the beach, we went to Falmouth for dinner. Today we are all completely wiped (Harrison is already back in bed at 10am) but everyone had a great time.
